What are Monarch Dollars?
Monarch Dollars are dollars that are attached in your traditional meal plan- Carte Blanche, Green and Gold 14 Meal Plan, or the Monarch Meal 10 Plan, in increments of $125, $250, and $500 respectively. Monarch Dollars are included in the cost of your meal plan. You may spend these dollars at any of the dining facilities on campus. Monarch Dollars expire at the end of the semester and do not transfer from semester to semester.
What are Declining Balance Dollars?
Declining Balance Dollars or DCB are dollars that you add voluntarily to your student ID card. This works just like a debit card and can be used at any of our dining facilities on campus. Unspent DCB dollars do transfer from the Fall Semester to the Spring Semester. However, they do expire at the end of the Spring Semester and do not transfer from year to year and are non-refundabler. Students residing in the apartment units receive a complimentary $100 DCB per semester
Meal Cards:
Selection of a Campus Dining Services Meal Plan entitles you to
a Meal Card, which allows you purchasing power equivalent to the
plan you have selected. Here is how it works: Purchase of the meal
plan entitles the individual student to eat in the dining hall from
orientation through graduation, excluding specified holiday periods.
All resident students are required to be on the meal plan.
Meal plans are designed for one student alone and can not be shared
by two or more students.
Lost or stolen Meal Cards can be replaced. Should this happen to
you… please see the Security Office for a replacement card
then make sure you come by the dining facilities office to recode
your meal plan.
Seconds Policy:
You never have to be too shy to ask for seconds with our Campus
Dining Program. Our generous policy allows for a second helping
of many menu favorites. All you have to do is ask! Please note,
however, there are some exceptions to our Seconds Policy including:
seconds may be limited during our specialty nights.
Dietary Needs:
Do you have particular dietary needs? No problem! Our Campus Dining
Services Program can accommodate your special dietary requirements.
For more information, please contact 910.488.2104 or stop by the
Dining Service office located in the Green and Gold Dining Facility.
One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable
and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we
ask for your assistance with the following procedures:
- Please bus your tray and disposables from your table when you
have finished dining.
- Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the
dining area.
- Remember that Meal Cards are non-transferable. Meal cards cannot
be used by anyone but the purchaser.
